Airport chaos but a little snow fails to put the skids under ferries

The well-forecast Arctic blast may have wreaked havoc with air travel over the weekend, but there was no such disruption for anyone booked to take the ferry.

In fact all ferry services out of Britain to Europe, Ireland, the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man and Isle of Wight are have continued to operate with no significant delays.

Ferry operators remain confident they will continue to offer a good service in the coming days as the cold spell is predicted to continue.

And with the school half-term next week, there’s still space for those considering a different form of transport.
‘In adverse weather conditions, people seek reassurance that their travel and holiday plans will not be affected. With snow forecast at the weekend, and a busy period expected for half-term, passengers can still rely on ferry travel” said PSA director, Bill Gibbons, dirdcto of the Pasdenger Shipping Assopciation.
