Condor Ferries launches new café... and partnership with Costa Coffee
Passengers travelling with Condor Ferries can now enjoy delicious coffee and sweet or savoury snacks from Lat 49, the new onboard café.
Condor Ferries has teamed up with Costa Coffee as part of its move to develop the services available on board its ferries between the UK, Channel Islands and France.
The name of the new café, Lat 49, refers to the latitude of the Channel Islands and it is an acknowledgment of the company’s Island heritage and the importance of the islands to Condor Ferries.
As well as beverages from the Costa portfolio, Condor passengers are able to enjoy a range of cakes and pastries, all available from Lat 49 and served by crew members who have received specialist training to satisfy Costa’s rigorous standards.

Lat 49 is only available on Condor’s fast ferries, but that does not mean that Commodore Clipper passengers will miss out on the great tasting coffee. Fresh coffee will be available on the Clipper in the form of a new “bean to cup” service available from the Brasserie.
Condor Ferries’ marketing director Alicia Andrews said: “Costa Coffee is enjoyed by millions of people every day so it’s fantastic to be able to offer some of the Costa products to our passengers. I am delighted that we are now able to serve our passengers the same delicious coffee onboard that they already enjoy on the high street.
“Condor Ferries is always working to improve the onboard experience and I’m sure our passengers will agree that Lat 49 is a genuine enhancement to our service.”
As well as Lat 49, Condor will continue to offer food and beverages from its existing onboard cafés.
