Early birds catch best fares for Isle of Wight Festival

The countdown to the Isle of Wight Festival 2014 has begun with the news that, in an English festival exclusive, Biffy Clyro will be headlining on Friday 13 June.

The rock trio will be joined on the Main Stage line-up by Calvin Harris and Rudimental, and more acts are still to be announced for the event, which takes place 12 to 15 June at Seaclose Park, Newport.

To coincide with the Early Bird Festival tickets available via Ticketmaster (weekend £170 or day ticket £70), cross-Solent ferry operator Wightlink is offering a range of Early Bird ferry crossings.

But music-lovers need to act fast as there are only a limited number available and the Early Bird Festival tickets are only available until 16 January.

Flagging up the importance of booking early, Wightlink head of marketing Mark Persad said: “Every year a number of festival-goers leave booking their ferry crossings until the last minute, which can lead to them not being able to travel when they want. We expect demand to be extremely high this year, and advise people to book early to avoid missing out. By acting fast and snapping up an Early Bird fare, they’ll save money too.”
