Hovertravel back to full service as grounded craft returns
Hovertravel's second craft returned to service from Ryde to Southsea this afternoon, allowing the Isle of Wight operator to revert to their normal winter timetable.

Its hourly service - the only remaining commercial hovercraft operation in Europe - was grounded after part of a propeller fell off last Friday.
Loretta Lale, marketing manager for Hovertravel, said today: “With two craft back in service, we can operate our normal winter timetable which during peak times, has a departure every 15 minutes to help give commuters less of a wait with their connecting transport.
“We are also offering late services so that you can take advantage of late night shopping to get all of your Christmas presents. Outside of these periods we will operate on an hourly schedule. Once again can I thank all our customers for their support over the past few days.”
