Step into spring with Wightlink Ferries from just £49 return

Wightlink Ferries is encouraging travellers to take an Isle of Wight escape and embrace the arrival of spring among the beautiful landscape of the island with a special March offer.

Visitors can take advantage of the breath-taking views with refreshing costal walks, indulge in a much needed spa day, or hide away in a secluded cottage.

And with day return tickets from just £49 in March for a car with up to seven passengers, there is no better time for an island retreat.

Fresh-air feeling
For those who just want to get out of the city and enjoy the country and seaside, The Isle of Wight Walking Festival runs from 29 April to 14 May. The National Trust and Visit Isle of Wight also have a whole host of free walks to make the most of the Island, or visitors can grab a map and create their own. Foodies and beer enthusiasts can stop off at one of the Island’s many fantastic pubs, like the Spyglass Inn or The Dairyman’s Daughter.

Cosy away
If you want an extended trip, there’s a great deal on offer at one of the Island’s famous hotels. The George in Yarmouth offers Snug Sundays, when visitors can snuggle up by the roaring log fires and enjoy the mellow sounds of two of the Islands’ best artists, Spike Oatley and Sam Sheasby. The offer includes a seasonal two-course supper, music, bed and breakfast, and optional Wightlink foot-passenger ferry tickets from Lymington. Prices are £180 for a classic room including Wightlink ferry, or £210 for a deluxe room.

Get close to nature
The Isle of Wight has plenty of nature-based activities, including sea and freshwater fishing across the Island all year round and bird watching in the Island’s wide variety of habitats, which are home to a whole range of different bird species. The Island is also a great place to get in touch with your spiritual side, with a number of yoga studios offering classes and retreats across the Island, such as at the wonderful Nettlecombe Farm.

What better way than a spa day?
For the ultimate in relaxation, spring-breakers can head down to one of the island’s spas for a well-deserved pampering. West Bay’s Island Wellness Spa offers a range of treatment options, including an Island Escape Spa Day, with 2½ hours of treatments, access to the sauna, steam room, and a little room of calm to relax and unwind in.
The day costs £140 and includes a light lunch, tea, coffee and fresh juices. To make the day completely stress free, West Bay Spa also offer pickups from the Wightlink Yarmouth ferry port, so all you need to do is sit back and relax.
